Michigan foreclosure rate in top 10 State ranked 5th with 13,891 filings in May Michigan ranked fifth in foreclosures with 13,891 filings in May, data released Thursday by RealtyTrac Inc. showed. Michigan ranked 11th in April as foreclosure moratoria were just being lifted. Michigan had one foreclosure filing for every 326 households, Nike air jordan XVcompared with the national rate of one for every 398 households in May, the Irvine, Calif.-based foreclosure Web site said. The Michigan filings included 7,645 notices of sale and 6,246 bank repossessions for the month. Filings were down by 4.72% in Michigan compared with April and rose by 28.3% compared with May 2008. Nationwide, foreclosure filings in May rose 17.8% to 321,480 compared with May 2008. Foreclosures were down by 6% compared with April.
