黑森林蛋糕的雏形最早出现于南部黑森林地区,黑森林区是德国西南的一个山区,从巴登巴登Baden Baden往南一直到佛来堡Freiburg这带,都属黑森林区。相传,每当樱桃丰收时,农妇们除了将过剩的樱桃制成果酱外,在做蛋糕时,也会大方地将樱桃一颗颗塞在蛋糕的夹层里,或是作为装饰细心地点缀在蛋糕的表面。而在打制蛋糕的鲜奶油时,更会加入大量樱桃汁。制作蛋糕坯时,面糊中也加入樱桃汁和樱桃酒。这种以樱桃与鲜奶油为主的蛋糕从黑森林传到外地后,也就变成所谓的“黑森林蛋糕”了。
    Ingredients: 1 dark chocolate cake mix (or your own from scratch) 1/4 c. kirsch (cherry brandy) 1 can cherry pie filling 16 oz. heavy whipping cream 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar Maraschino cherries, drained, optional, for garnish milk chocolate curls or shavings, for garnish Preparation: Drain cherry pie filling in a colander to remove most of the thickened juices. Make cake, following package directions. Bake cake, as directed, in two 9-inch layer cake pans.
When cool, sprinkle kirsch over both cake layers.
