        The design of these two cakes are basically the same. The first one was made</SPAN> as a graduation work for</SPAN> the Wilton cake decorating class. As you can see, for some of the skills I didn't handle very well, such as the roses, the leaves and the writing. Besides the colors were pretty dashing on that. It was partially because I always mixed leftover icing to reduce the cost.

        这两款蛋糕的设计基本相同。第一款是我上威尔顿蛋糕装饰课的时候所做的毕业作品。可以看出来当时我的很多技能都不太上手,比如说玫瑰,叶子,还有手写字母等。再来就是颜色搭配上也很刺眼。部分原因是我总把剩下的糖霜混起来用,以节约成本。

        The second one looks much more mild and advanced. It was made for the new priest from the church that the Codds usually go to. I had totally no idea that there were more than 300 people showed up that night, and the cake brought a hit there. I was made to stand up later in front of everybody in the honor of the "cake artist", and received lots of claps, as well as a big bear hug from the new priest. 今年的月饼不是很理想,主要是缺原料,不过把过程体会发来和大家共享,第一次做的:


第二次做的秀园月饼:


先看看我自做的模子,找张复印纸,只找到一张旧的,在用过的一面写上“家坛小学”四个字:


然后翻转过来,用热胶枪(glue gun)描出字来,注意是字是反着的,冷了后仔细弄干净:


配上去年用过的铁环(cookie cutter),铁环做边子,就是模具,也比较好脱模。去年的照片:


看看我的料,今年最大的问题是没买到Golden Syrup,也怪自己没有早准备,就买了Corn Syrup,应该也是可以的,形象差点,味道还行。馅料是红豆沙,拌上熟黄豆粉微波炉加热拌匀,目的是为了让馅料干一些:
