A Special Christmas Party!
 


Last year I had a party at my Hollywood Cafe. But this year I rented a 2 Million RMB penthouse high above the rooftop overlooking the beautiful Tianhe Park. Sharing the same rear view as the Citic Plaza. It was quite stressful putting a party together in about 3 days, not knowing if people would be able to show up. As Christmas fell on a Monday which is a normal workday here in China. Plus anyone who has put together a party at the last minute knows how challenging it is getting people all together. Unlike the U.S. most people have a car and so people can easily drive to the location of the event. But here in China, people sometimes have to spend over an hour by buses, taxi's and train's to get around the city.

Fortunately I was able to have nearly double the crowd I had planned for and people continued coming even after 9:30 pm when the party was suppose to finish. Since it seemed people were having so much fun, the party was extended until nearly midnight! Although I was invited to many Christmas parties throughout the week. Many of the parties I went to just didn't have a Christmas feeling, like the parties I'm use to in the U.S. So I decided to have one of my own, hoping to share with others what an American Christmas party is like.
After a brief talk reminding us what Christmas is all about, the party fun began by some traditional Christmas Carol-ing. And then afterwards was a potluck style dinner. We had some fun Christmas games, and door prizes. A Christmas game taught to me by my good friends Ro  阅读全文>>
