Description

Studies have proven that electric forklifts are cheaper to operate and maintain than IC forklifts. Over their life cycle, electric forklifts cost less in fuel, require less maintenance because they have fewer moving parts, require fewer fluid changes (such as engine oil, coolant and filters), and have significantly less time lost to maintenance downtime and breakdowns.

For example, one regional study found that electric forklifts cost between $1.50 and $4.50 per 8-hour charge, while operating a liquefied propane gas (LPG) forklift cost between $18 and $25 per full bottle. These costs depend on location, but it's clear that electric forklifts cost much less in energy consumption.
